Colicci, a family business founded in 1982, has grown from an ice cream van in Bushy Park to over 30 locations across London’s Royal Parks, including cafés, kiosks, ice cream vans and restaurants.
They pride themselves on serving artisan coffee from their own roasted single-origin beans and freshly baked pastries. To enhance their authenticity, Colicci sought The Blackboard Artist to ensure their signage was hand-painted. The partnership, now spanning nearly five years, includes an annual project at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where Colicci has managed the entire hospitality setup since 2023.
To elevate Colicci’s brand, The Blackboard Artist focused on creating a distinctive style for their blackboards. The solution involved double-coating letters, limiting the colour palette, and increasing letter spacing for better legibility and a modern look. Using black, white, and metallic bronze premium acrylic paint, ensured a durable and cohesive brand image.
We've been working with The Blackboard Artist for almost 5 years and consider Michael and his colleagues an integral part of the Colicci family.
