The Lionhearth Group owns three historic pubs—The Swan, The Chequers, and The Black Horse—nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Each venue offers a charming and inviting space that reflects the beauty of the countryside. With impressive decor, spacious accommodations, and a menu of gastropub-style food made from locally sourced ingredients, these pubs provide guests with an authentic Cotswold experience. We were entrusted with creating bespoke signage to compliment their unique character.

Lionhearth wanted to ensure their guests were aware of the seasonal changes to their Sandwiches and Bar Snacks menus, so we provided them with a set of adaptable blackboards that could be easily updated throughout the year. Additionally, we crafted large A-boards for The Swan to promote their offerings, as well as hand-painted door signs for their new accommodations and wayfinding signs for all three pubs.

When Lionhearth opened their most recent pub, The Black Horse, we supplied A-boards, post signs, and hand-painted all the door signs using a traditional serif font with a modern twist, perfectly aligning with the pub’s aesthetic.

To achieve the desired Cotswolds countryside look, we painted the boards in either F&B French Gray or Forest Grey, ensuring they matched the colour scheme of the window sills and doors across the three pubs. These hand-painted signs not only guide guests but also enhance the high-end, rustic charm of these quintessential Cotswold country pubs.
