Novotel is a renowned French hotel brand with over 550 hotels in 65 countries.

They entrusted us with elevating the guest experience at their locations in Greenwich and London Bridge. Our collaboration involved creating unique visual elements that would bring life and character to their spaces.

At Novotel Greenwich, the goal was to invigorate the breakfast buffet area with a mural that combined iconic elements of Greenwich with food and drink illustrations. We focused on creating a design that would not only excite guests about the buffet offerings but also entertain them with visual nods to the local area. The client requested a black-and-white colour scheme, which we executed to create a striking, clean, and bold composition. Additionally, we designed a pillar by the bar to promote their signature cocktails, beer, and wine, using key buzzwords to draw guests in.

For Novotel London Bridge, the main objective was to highlight their offerings of pizzas, cocktails, coffee, pastries, and nuts in the bar area, while also showcasing their commitment to using local British suppliers. We crafted large menu boards to clearly display these offerings and created illustrative tabletop boards to promote the pastries and nuts available. By incorporating detailed, colorful illustrations, we aimed to not only inform guests but also bring a smile to their faces as they consider their choices.

Our work at both locations succeeded in elevating the visual appeal and guest experience, aligning perfectly with Novotel’s brand while adding a touch of local charm.

Working with The Blackboard Artist Michael over the last year has been a wonderful experience. He is very professional, attentive and easy to work with. Michael understands very quickly what I require and helps me to create the visions I have for our boards. I would highly recommend Michael, and am looking forward to working with him again soon.
